"To me, Charter Oak Crossfit is all about living a healthy lifestyle, having fun and surrounding yourself with others who share similar, long-term fitness goals. I look forward to meeting and working with members of all ages and abilities and help them reach their goals."

"I love Charter Oak CrossFit because of the strong community it has to offer, but also how differentiated it is. As a teacher, I see it as the most differentiated classroom in the world, where anyone from any and all walks of life or athletic background can workout together to reach the same common goal of just being healthy and fit. CharterOak promotes and supports a wholistic and lifelong healthy lifestyle by bringing together a support system between fellow members and qualified coaches to reach your goals. I love working with everyone to get there together!"

"I am healthier, stronger and more fit in my 40s than I was in my 20s/30s. I found out I barely knew my mental toughness until I began this adventure. CrossFit is more than a workout plan, it became my lifestyle, grounded me and became my own personal "sanity outlet." It has built confidence I never thought existed and proved to me that "ANYONE can do this sport and EVERYONE will be successful at it." The team atmosphere and camaraderie is what keeps me coming back every day. "A communal environment encouraged by CrossFit is a strong example of how effective social support is toward engaging in healthy habits." Surround yourself with positive people and positive things start to happen!" Seeyah at the box!!!!!"

"I wasn't a college athlete, my best high-school sport was golf, and I work in a cubicle. But know what? When I'm in the box, none of that matters. It isn't about where you're coming from, it's about where you want to go. I love pushing my body and mind while forging new skills. I'm fanatical about learning how to move efficiently and safely. These are things I probably wouldn't have discovered a passion for if not for CrossFit. CrossFit has given me a means to grow and call myself an athlete."

"Self-improvement through physical fitness, with the help of a tight-knit community, and in a fun environment is what CrossFit represents to me. It's what I strive to share with everyone in and out of our gym."

"CrossFit has been the only thing to come close to filling the post-collegiate sports void. The community, competition, and confidence it has provided me is paramount to anything else I’ve tried...and I’ve tried it all! I hope to share this experience with others and help them reach their individual goals."

"There is no better joy or accomplishment as a coach to see someone succeeded , no matter how big or small, in their journey of fitness. Fitness is a two way street, an investment by the coach in the individual and an investment by the individual to put in the work capacity. Everyone’s goals are different, I believe that anyone can achieve their goal(s) but in order to reach that pinnacle we at Charter Oak CrossFit will lay a foundation of form, consistency and intensity, in that order, to achieve that end result."

"As a nurse, I am often faced with the challenge of trying to help people who don’t want to be helped. It is a breath of fresh air to work with the members of the Charter Oak Crossfit community who truly strive to better themselves each and every day at the gym. If you’ve done Crossfit before, you might have noticed that there is a rush associated with the intensity of the work we do. My favorite part, however, is the profound relief I feel from being at COCF— my happy place. This is one hour of my day where I find complete contentment."

"CrossFit and the community has allowed me to become the best version of myself. I’m afraid to think of what I would have been if I hadn’t found CrossFit. It’s taught me how to challenge myself, embrace failure as part of a process, and getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. I love my gym as it brings people from all walks of life into the same room to accomplish the same goals. If you’re on the fence about trying CrossFit, just give it shot. What do you have to lose – a little bit of your time? It’s worth seeing it for yourself!"
